Hatha is the core form of yoga. All styles of yoga are derived from hatha yoga. It is the most scientifically proven style of yoga. Hatha yoga majorly deals with the physical body, It helps the body to be fit and enhances its strength in all the necessary instruments to keep the body in its natural state.

A yoga enthusiast from the age of 13, had always dreamt learning yoga and spreading its benefits as a teacher. He does not remember a day when he did not practiced yoga.

Ashtanga Yoga

Ashtanga is a meticulous approach to yoga that tracks a particular progression of postures as each style links every movement to breathe. The only difference is that Ashtanga always performs the exact same poses in the exact same order. This is a hot, sweaty, physically demanding practice. There are six established and active pose sequences focussing on the primary series, which is to be mastered before moving on. The series is made up of a set of postures, which follow on from each other in the same order every time. It is a moving meditation and the goal is that every breath taken becomes a conscious one.

Yoga is a "work-in" to connect the body, mind and soul. Through our practice we learn how to be playful with our body, and we discover a lot about ourselves. Its an on going Joyful process. Learning and sharing is my passion.

About Hodis,

Iranian born Hodis fell in love with fitness at an early age. After graduating from university, Hodis worked as a full time trainer in Tehran, teaching Yoga, aerobics and step classes. Upon moving to Dubai, Hodis trained one on one with private clients, whilst continuing to practice and study other forms of fitness and develop as a Yoga instructor.

Hodis has completed her 200 hours Yoga Certified Teacher certificate as well as a certificate in TRX Suspension Training. She is currently in her sixth year practicing Iyengar Yoga, a form of Hatha Yoga that has emphasis on detail, precision and alignment in the performance of posture (asana) and breath control (pranayana). Over the past year, Hodis has attended Iyengar workshops in Dubai, Portugal and Italy with senior Iyengar teachers Rajvi Mehta, Firooza Ali Razvi and Gabriella Giubilaro.

As her knowledge of Yoga increases, so does her passion for spiritual side of this discipline. Yoga trains both the mind and the body, by bringing the inner and outer self under control. Together with her passion for Yoga, Hodis also has a keen interest in natural remedies and nutrition, which allow the body to heal itself given the right food and exercise, especially Yoga.
