Ashtanga Yoga - Mysore Style

This is where students are taught the Ashtanga yoga sequence individually within a group setting. Postures are taught sequentially allowing students to develop at a pace that is suitable for each individual. This makes it ideal for those new to yoga or those with specific physical/health conditions. The first session will last 30-40mins, gradually increasing to an hour or more. Suitable for all levels including complete beginners. Students can attend at any time during the specified time period. We recommend students attend a minimum of three Mysore classes a week. Drop-ins are not accepted except for out-of-town students.

Alexey has been practicing Ashtanga yoga since 2007 studying with authorised teachers in Moscow. In 2010 he became a student of KPJAYI and has made four individual trips to Mysore since that time as well as attending trainings and classes with David Swenson, Richard Freeman, Lino Miele, Petri Raisanen, Eddie Stern and Mark Darby. Alexey has being teaching Ashtanga for the last five years, at the Ashtanga Yoga Shala and Ashtanga Yoga Center in Moscow and now at Ashtanga Yoga Dubai.?

FREE-Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga is a generic term that refers to almost any type of yoga that teaches asana, the physical postures. The word “hatha” comes from the Sanskrit terms “ha” meaning “sun” and “tha” meaning “moon”. Thus, Hatha Yoga is known as the branch of Yoga that unites pairs of opposites currents in our system. It concentrates on the third (Asana) and fourth (Pranayama) limb in the Eight Limbs of Yoga. Hatha Yoga focuses on breathing and postures which are held for a while to benefit from their healing power. Because Hatha yoga’s pace is slow and gentle, it is an ideal starting place for people who are new to yoga.

Marsha began her yoga journey as an outlet to her stressful career in the TV industry. 

Her role within the media world included working as a presenter, reporter, and model for a span of 8 years combined. And that’s how yoga became her safe oasis, a mode of de-stressing and finding her inner self. Marsha silently fell in love with the Indian philosophy and started a new chapter in her life: exploring and learning yoga.

With Yoga Alliance USA she completed all necessary requirements of 200-hour level training and 35 hours of swing yoga teacher training. She knows and understands how difficult the yoga journey is from the very beginning, and therefore as a teacher she aims to cultivate an atmosphere of acceptance and non-judgment, so everyone can learn to hear their bodies.

Yoga is a journey, not a destination. Marsha teaches students of all levels and all ages hatha, vinyasa flow, and swing yoga. She always includes in her practices elements of meditation, pranayama and yoga nidra to create a unique and well-rounded experience. Masha treats every student as her teacher. Bikram Yoga

Bikram Yoga is not just a normal yoga routine but a form of living which is rapidly gaining significance across the world. It involves a unique combination of yoga postures and breathing exercises. The hatha yoga postures which are 26 in total and known as Asanas combined with the breathing exercises or pranayamas create the Bikram Yoga Routine. It is generally performed in controlled room conditions of 40 degree Celsius temperature and an average humidity of 40%.
